angelAngel tattoos are one of the most frequently seen tattoos for many different types of people. Most of these tattoos are worn by women, but there are a number of designs for angel tattoos for men as well. Different people may have different reasons for obtaining their angel designs and the meaning will reflect the personal feelings of the person that chose the tattoo.

What The Angel Represents

One of the reasons that angel tattoos are so popular is because the angel is a spiritual figure and represents purity, innocence, and goodness. The flowing white robes and widespread wings are designed to show the purity and openness of the angel. Many people that choose traditional designs for their angel tattoos are often attempting to show that they lead a good and honorable life and the angel is what they are aspiring to in their personal and spiritual life.

In many cases, the angel tattoos are surrounded by other designs to create a specific image or a story. The meaning of the tattoos will depend on what is included in the design. Each of the elements of the tattoo will have a special meaning to the person and the whole design will create an image that is unique and personal. Not all angel tattoos will have a personal meaning because in some cases, the person has chosen the tattoo design because they liked the way the entire design looked.

Memorial Tattoo Designs

For some people, their angel tattoos are memorials to a loved one that they have lost. People that have lost someone prematurely often chose to get a tattoo as a permanent memorial to the person to provide a daily reminder of the person that they loved so much and will never forget. Angel tattoos as a memorial are some of the most common angel designs chosen by men because they represent a person that they knew and loved, not some mythical ideal of an angel.

Fallen Angel Tattoos

Angel tattoos can be sinister as well. According to the bible, the devil was an angel that was cast out of heaven for behaving badly and challenging God’s authority. Fallen angel tattoos are common for people that look innocent but behave badly behind closed doors. A person who chooses fallen angel designs typically have at least one bad habit that they would not like the people that they associate with to know about. There are many different types of designs for angel tattoos for people to choose from and the type of image that is chosen depends on the personal preference of the person that will be wearing the tattoo.

The problem with using free tattoo design websites is it that they provide old, diluted and over used designs.  When selecting a tattoo, you want it to be unique and different.  By using these free websites, you will not achieve these objectives.

To prove my point, simply check out people with tattoos and you will be amazed how many of them have duplicate tattoos. Further proof would include, tattoo parlors themselves. Tattoo shops usually have a display on their wall exhibiting hundreds, at times thousands of designs. If you were to compare tattoo shops, you will notice that they tend to have similar designs on their respective walls.

The trend of searching for a tattoo design on the internet is a recent phenomenon and in the past has worked quite well. Some of these free web-sites would let you view tattoos, and then you were able to save the design on your local computer so you can print the design. This printable tattoo designs are still quite popular today but have been saturated with copied tattoos.

For me this was a no-brainer. I’ve yet to find a better deal! You’ve got a good set of flashes.. I went for a chinese dragon design on my shoulder. I’m well please with how it looks. The design was clear enough for the artist to follow off.. Cheers.

dragon-tattooDragon tattoos are some of the most popular tattoo styles in the world today, chosen by both men and women for what the designs represent. Different cultures from around the world have used dragons in their mythology throughout history and many people choose to have cultural dragon designs tattooed on them to represent something meaningful to them. There are many reasons that a person may decide to get dragon tattoos and with a small amount of creativity, the image can be just as unique as the person wearing it.

Many different cultures have dragon myths and stories in their history and these stories are often the most repeated stories in the culture. European nations had knights that traveled great distances to slay the fire breathing dragons that stole gold and consumed maidens. Asian cultures had wise dragons who foretold the things that were needed for people to live a good life. Some Middle Eastern cultures had dragons in their stories, based on the huge lizards that inhabited their lands, and their stories were passed down from generation to generation around the evening campfires. Many of the dragon stories of the past have origins that remain unknown, but the stories remain some of the most popular of all times.

Different Types Of Dragon Tattoos

The most popular types of dragon tattoos resemble a reptilian creature with lizard-like features. More expensive dragon tattoos depict each individual scale that covers the body of the dragon and some dragon tattoos have the forked tongue common to reptilian creatures prominently displayed. For the dragons that fly, strong wings resembling those of bats and breathing fire are common elements of the tattoo design. Dragon tattoos that contain these elements are commonly chosen because this is how most people see dragons in their imagination.

Dragon tattoos mean something different to each person that chooses to obtain them and the meaning of the tattoo can be often be determined by the image on the tattoo. Dragons meant to represent strength are large with large wings and a rebellious expression on its face, often breathing fire to the side or directly at the person viewing the tattoo. Dragon tattoos symbolizing wisdom and intelligence will typically have a smile or a look of internal reflection and are designed to look wizened to appear like they are very old.

Dragon tattoos can be used to represent many different emotions and ideals, such as good, evil, mischief, wisdom, adventure, or strength. The image chosen depends on what the person really wants and what the tattoo will represent to them. Dragon tattoos can be any color that the person can imagine, with men choosing designs of red or green and women choosing designs in purple, blue, or pink. The colors are important to the design of the dragon tattoos to give you a dragon design that is as unique as you are.
